There are half a dozen cafe's on Bronte road above the Southern end of Bronte.
There is a kiosk at the surf club, open during peak times.
Sunbathing is popular on this beach, but rarely as crowded as nearby Tamarama or Bondi. The sand is clean and soft. There is a natural rockpool that forms at low tide at the Southern end of the beach which often gets used as a toddler pool. This, along with the large grass park suitable for ball games and a extensive picnic and bbq area makes this beach very family friendly.
Swimming is popular in the tidal pool. This north end of the beach is also popular for body surfing.
There is a good reef break at Bronte that works in small to large swell.
fishing from the rock platforms at the North end of the beach is fairly popular. Catches of the rocks include Luderick, Kingfish, silver drummer and Bream.
Bronte Beach is at the end of the Bondi to Bronte coastal walk and the at the start of the Bronte to Coogee coastal walk

Bronte Surf Breaks

Bronte Reef Break works best in SE swell and West winds. Beware of exposed rocks at low tide. Good break when working, which is not everyday. Best in winter/Autumn when the southerly swell really gets going. Crowded when working, especially on summer weekends. Right hand waves.
Bronte Beach Breaks are more consistent, but tend to offer short rides unless swell is up and can dump heavily if you are not careful. Beach faces east and has something in S and E swells. Offshore wind is W. Often crowded, forget summer Sunday mornings when Nippers is running.
